Neglected children are Those children who experience problems because their need of physical, spiritual, and social needs are not met properly. The large number of neglected children is one of the reasons for the establishment of the KDM Foundation. The establishment of the KDM Foundation as a form to raise the honor and dignity.
The purpose of this study, firstly, is to find out the nature of the KDM Foundation in upholding the honor and dignity. Second, to find out the efforts of the KDM Foundation to raise the honor and dignity. Third, to find out the existence of the KDM Foundation to provide It’s services in to implement its vision and mission in today's modern times. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach that can provide an original picture, social reality and perceptions of research targets that aim to investigate the object of research.
The research results obtained are as follows. First, The aim of the services is to obtain the children rights and basic needs. Second, the KDM Foundation's efforts are provided of diakonia work starting from charitable, reformative and transformative diakonia. Third, the KDM Foundation has three main programs to raise the dignity of neglected children, namely the street children rescue and community strengthening program, alternative education, and child care and participation.
