The HKBP Pansurnapitu Church is one of the churches that has many congregations, but many it’s teenagers do not attend Sunday services. The church must face its challenged since the youth is the future of the church whereas youth have an important role in the church. However, the reality that is currently happening, especially at the HKBP Pansurnapitu church, is that many teenagers are absent from church activities.
The purpose of this research is to find out why teenagers do not attend Sunday services at the HKBP Pansurnapitu. To know the services carried out by the church for teenagers who do not attend Sunday services at the HKBP Pansurnapitu. The research method used by researchers is a qualitative research method. Researchers provide, research questions to each informant by means of interviews, collect data from informants, analyze data and draw conclusions. The results of the study found that there were several factors that caused youth not to attend Sunday services. First, the lack of self-control in adolescents live perieod and the negative influences of technology. Second, the lack of parental support and educating. Third, the lack of services provided by the church to youth. Therefore, parents and the church must work together in fostering youth by providing the attention and service that youth need.
